Gnome Sign DIY Wood Kit to Paint - Free Shipping
This is a fun interchangeable Gnome sign for the seasons and holidays! This kit is a DIY kit made of 1/8” plywood for you and your loved ones to paint.
Included is the main gnome, 13 different hats, 15 different arms and hands holding an object to go with the hat. Included are designs for Winter, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, Spring, Farm Chicken, Beach Summer, Summer Picnic, Patriotic, Schooldays with chalkboard or apple, Fall with pumpkin, Halloween with creepy book or cauldron and Christmas. It also includes a !/4” backing board with frame pieces a nose and mustache plus Welcome lettering making it a 37 piece set!
To make easy painting, I mask each piece before laser cutting. Each section of masking tape can be removed by you when you are ready to paint. This will allow you to easily make gradations of colors as in the hats with the smaller areas masked off. This is shown in the Christmas hat picture. I painted the background, removed the tape for the wire, painted the wire, then removed the tape for the lights.
The gnome measures 13.5” x 6.5” . The backing board is 18.25" x 10.75” . The pieces are interchangeable with small velcro dots which are included for you to attach after painting.
The gnomes face can be done in a few ways. Just the nose can be painted that is printed on the wood or the addition nose piece can be painted and glued on the gnome. There are also moustache pieces that can be painted and placed next to the glued nose. When the moustache is used, the hat and arm pieces rest against it for easier placement.
I painted my example with Apple Barrel Gloss paint and Decoarte extreme sheen 24K gold. Any acrylic paint will work, as well as paint pens and markers. Full instructions and tips are included! Paint is not included.
I used “Stick Fast CA adhesive” to glue the main gnome piece, lettering and frame pieces to the backing.
The Wecome sign from 1/4” wood is included. I you do not want to include it, just center the gnome on the board without the lettering.
